Student Portal Project

Student Portal
  • Designed the Layout and structure for the Student Portal to work in SharePoint 2010, mockups were created in Dreamweaver and then migrated into a custom Master Page. 

Calendar Branding

  • Branded the YVCC Event and Calendar system from its out of the box look and function, added a full header, menu system, footer and custom styled the elements to conform the YVCC look and feel. [SharePoint 2010]
  • Customized parameters for displaying the date ranges for the menu Calendar menu.

Student Portal

One stop shop for students

 Project Details

Yakima Valley Community College
Create a student portal with dynamic content interactions, which will be personalized based on the student, it would show their schedule, advisor, and some financial data. The goal was to replace the list repository currently in use. 

What I did

  • Diagrams – sketched
  • Mockups in Photoshop
  • HTML CSS Javascript working mockup
  • Collaborated with Application Developer to integrate SharePoint WebParts in particular regions.
  • Launched the working version in SharePoint

Northwest Indian Housing Association
  • Migrate old site content to the new format.
  • New site utilizes many new features available from the upgrade to a content management system on a WordPress framework.
  • New site is scalable and adaptive, renders beautifully on all devices.
What I did

  • Maintained and supported the old site while developing and migrating content to the new site re-design
  • I worked alone on this project. Interfacing with HR Coordinator of CWFM and Studio 99
  • Installed and configured the framework.
  • Setup a database, installed and configured theme files, customized and branded the theme.
  • Installed and configured various plug-ins. Set up slider, news feeds, customized widgets for the footer, navigation and structure.
  • The colors, graphics and photo objects and fonts were all selected and created or manipulated by me.
  • Edited and manipulated sources photos, art and logos for the site.

Central Washington Family Medicine – Human Resources
  • New Site with Content Management functionality.
  • Job posting management and resume submission system.
  • Migrate old site content to the new format.
  • New site utilizes many new features available from the upgrade to a content management system on a WordPress framework.
  • New site is scalable and adaptive, renders beautifully on all devices.
What I did
